Merger combines narwhal’s design-thinking approach with alloy’s integrated marketing methodology, enabling innovators to build differentiated and highly-valued brands
Alloy, an integrated marketing agency for global tech brands, today announced that it has acquired fellow Atlanta-based firm Narwhal.Digital LLC, a creative technology agency focused on bringing digital experiences, products and ecosystems to life. This is the second transaction for Alloy in less than two years.
Both Alloy and Narwhal are female-founded, minority-led and based in Atlanta. Narwhal launched in 2015 and has grown 26% year-over-year since 2019 under the leadership of its partners, Jennifer Ready and Vivek Pandya. Ready will serve on Alloy’s management team as chief creative officer while Pandya will be involved in the business in an advisory role.
“In order to fulfill Alloy’s potential and truly enable tech brands to solve their biggest go-to-market challenges, we knew we must deepen and broaden our capabilities,” said Alloy CEO Raj Choudhury. “For years I’ve followed Narwhal’s growth trajectory, and admired the firm’s superior creative and technical capabilities – from branding and experience design to product development. With Narwhal’s problem solvers and idea makers now on our team, together we’ll forge new and collaborative ways to deliver on our vision – and have a lot of fun doing it.”
The combined unit now employs over 60 rebels, nerds and creatives. The majority of employees will be based in Alloy’s Atlanta headquarters, making it one of the 10th largest marketing firms in the city.
In addition, Alloy now collectively serves 40 clients (and growing). The roster includes global software leaders such as Intelerad, SonicWall, SugarCRM and Tricentis, as well as some of Atlanta’s hottest technology companies like Brightwell, Instant, ParkMobile and Roadie.
“By pairing Narwhal’s design-thinking approach with Alloy’s integrated marketing methodology, we’ll be able to architect edgy, yet elegant digital experiences and marry them with bold marketing communications, ultimately boosting clients’ bottom lines,” said Ready. “Simply put, this is pure opportunity – for greater client impact, faster corporate expansion, bigger employee growth, and much more.”
