We partnered with SkillsUSA to bring its annual conference theme to life with a fresh digital experience.

SkillsUSA is the nation’s leading workforce development organization for young people—an inspired partnership of students, educators, and industry leaders working together to keep America career-ready. Guided by a singular purpose, SkillsUSA empowers students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members.

Each summer, SkillsUSA hosts its week-long downtown takeover, the National Leadership & Skills Conference, bringing together more than 16,000 students, instructors, industry partners, government officials, and administrators. Spanning both Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center and State Farm Arena, the high-energy event culminates in a national championship featuring more than 6,000 state winners competing across 115 skilled and leadership disciplines.

To rally its members nationwide and set the tone for the year ahead, SkillsUSA develops an annual conference theme that drives programming across the organization. That theme must be expressed clearly and consistently across digital and social channels, supporting engagement across schools, programming and the annual conference. Alloy partnered with SkillsUSA to translate the annual conference theme into a cohesive digital expression, reinforcing event branding across key touchpoints.

How we help

Revealing the theme

Using motion graphics to introduce Ignite Your Potential

The closing of the annual SkillsUSA conference serves as the moment when the organization looks ahead to the year to come. To support the reveal of the 2024–25 theme, Ignite Your Potential, we developed a suite of motion graphics designed to create energy around the announcement.

The motion assets translated the visual identity into movement, helping introduce the theme in a dynamic way that could be used across the convention center. Designed for reuse, the graphics were built to support ongoing programming and outreach throughout the year, extending the life of the theme well beyond the conference itself.

By creating a visual system to introduce and carry forward the theme, Alloy helped SkillsUSA establish a creative foundation for year-long engagement.
