In a recent blog post, Anna Ruth shared how our “glass is half full, damn it” rallying cry really helped put all of the positives that could have easily been overlooked during such a turbulent year, composed of shitty news cycle after shitty news cycle, into perspective. Fortunately, by doubling down on agency culture, tightening the purse strings and re-committing to our definition of client service, our growing tech PR firm was not only able to survive 2020; but we were among the minority of agencies to finish the year in the black.

A significant part of my role as senior vice president of client service focuses on strong client retention. When I started at Alloy in 2014, the average agency-client tenure was shrinking dramatically. Today, it stands at less than three years, down from its pinnacle of nearly 8 years in the 1990s.

That’s why I am so proud that, despite some pandemic-driven setbacks, Alloy's average client relationships are still significantly higher than this  average...and growing. Today, we have many clients in their fourth, fifth and sixth years of partnership. 

This is a special accomplishment for an 8-year-old agency; one driven by what is inarguably an uncommon commitment to client service.

Each year, we ask clients for feedback, because we truly believe in our spirited ideal, Learning Never Ceases. We use this information to continue to evolve to ensure that we are providing client service that truly PRopel’s What’s Possible.
