At Alloy, we’re driven by five Spirited Ideals. This sacred list includes values such as “desire to be your best” and “drive change,” but perhaps most important to our culture is Spirited Ideal No. 4 – “Celebrate Success.” Here’s an excerpt from our company Field Guide:
We work hard and believe fun should follow. Little successes and big triumphs should all be celebrated with the same vigor as the effort that went into them. Taking the time to pat ourselves on the back keeps us motivated to produce greater results in the future.
So, as you can imagine, our team takes advantage of every opportunity to don a party hat (or wig), raise a glass and give each other a high five. And there’s not a better excuse to celebrate than each August when we celebrate Alloy’s birthday.
This August marks four years since I started Alloy at my little kitchen table in my little apartment. In just 48 months, we’ve exceeded the size of our competitors, expanded our expertise and service offerings, and attracted a global roster of technology clients. As we celebrate our fourth birthday, here’s a look back at a few highlights from the last year.
October 2015 – We tripled the size of our headquarters when we moved into The Biltmore, which is in the heart of Atlanta’s Tech Square.
November 2015 – We welcomed our first office & operations manager, Jenn Brady, and subsequently covered her desk in man buns on April Fools.
December 2015 – Our annual team retreat was highlighted by private tours of MailChimp’s headquarters and Twitter’s Southeast office.
January 2016 – For the third year in a row, ARPR led a breakthrough client activation at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. This year, we represented client Luma, which earned praise from Wall Street Journal, USA Today and more.
February 2016 – We hosted SBA Administrator and Presidential Cabinet member Maria Contreras-Sweet while she was visiting Atlanta to learn more about the city’s innovation ecosystem.
February 2016 – We unveiled our lead generation and marketing automation service to a packed house. Led by our new VP of analytics and digital marketing, Renee Spurlin, the new service has been successful at helping our technology clients more accurately quantify the results of their content marketing, media relations and social media campaigns, transform brand awareness and increase visibility into qualified leads.
March 2016 – We led press, social media and influencer marketing campaigns for client ChooseATL at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, earning 70 media stories and 1.3 million social media impressions.
April 2016 – We were the only PR firm to make the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of 100 Fastest Growing Companies. We also scooped up recognition for our client results, including American Marketing Association – Atlanta Chapter AMY Awards, Hermes Creative Awards, and a PRDaily Media Relations Award.
June/July 2016 – We welcomed three new team members to our Army of Awesome – Jasmine Gurley (account manager), Nicole Murdocca (account coordinator) and Whitney Findley (awesome intern)! Meet them all here.
As we enter our next year of business, we’re honored to be welcoming new clients, including San Francisco-based PowWow Mobile, Tel-Aviv-based IronScales, Boston-based Sovos Compliance and more. We’re also hiring positions in San Francisco and Atlanta (apply here!).
