(She/Her)

After a long story that’s best told over a beer, Anna Ruth woke up one morning in 2012 and decided to start an integrated marketing agency focused on the tech industry. With just an old laptop and a small family loan, it was game on. Her first employee was her dog, but that quickly turned into more than 25 humans, and Alloy (then known as ARPR) rose to become Technology Agency of the Year, the Fastest Growing PR Agency, and a six-time Best Place to Work.

After 10 years of running the show, in 2022 Anna Ruth partnered with her long-time mentor, Raj Choudhury, to take Alloy to new heights. Today, she serves as Chief Strategy Officer focusing on growth, global expansion and senior-level client strategy.

Long before Alloy was a sparkle in her eye, Anna Ruth cut her teeth on political campaigns – drinking from the communications fire hose in presidential swing states and Capitol Hill, ultimately working on campaigns in nearly a dozen states. At the age of 26, she was already a gubernatorial campaign press secretary, serving as spokeswoman in a top 10 media market. During this time, she honed crisis communications skills and took part in the emergence of social media brand identities.

When her career took a turn to the private sector, she quickly fell in love with the IT industry. She’s worked with clients ranging from the world’s third largest data center provider to the first FDA-approved AI mammography solution, as well as household name brands like Google and Delta. She loves leading strategic messaging sessions, creative content brainstorms and media trainings for clients. And nothing gets her blood pumping more than a crisis comms situation.

Anna Ruth graduated from the University of Alabama, where she won four national championships in public speaking events. She’s a graduate of Leadership Atlanta’s LEAD program, LaunchPad2X and former board chair of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Georgia Chapter. Her accolades include PR News 50 Game-Changers in PR, PRSA Georgia 40 Under 40, and Metro Atlanta Chamber’s Early Stage Entrepreneur of the Year.

Today, she lives in New Orleans with her partner Joe and stepdaughter. She also spends time on Hawaii’s Kohala Coast working on their beloved vacation rental property, @bigislandlastresort. She believes that her costume closet will never be big enough, her craft room will never be messy enough, and that yoga is life.
